You’ll enjoy long lasting results with minimal effort and all with a handset that uses next-generation technology and looks super-sexy on your bathroom counter.
Let’s get started.
What Exactly Is The SweetPeachier IPL Hair Removal Device?
Only your new best-friend when it comes to eliminating pesky over-enthusiastic follicles.
At a glance, this easy-to-use technology fits perfectly in your hand and offers the latest in at-home long-term hair removal. No gimmicks, just smooth fresh evenly toned skin without the hassle of leaving the house.
IPL works by utilizing wavelengths of broad spectrum light to target pigments in the skin (in this case, the dark hair follicle). This creates a heating sensation which kills the follicle, rapidly diminishing hair production.
Many people have to visit the salon multiple times to achieve their desired smoothness.
But we know you’re too busy living life to be inconvenienced with appointment bookings, traffic to and from the salon, the potential awkwardness of stripping down in front of a stranger.
Thanks to the convenience of having the SweetPeachier IPL Hair Removal Device available to you any time you like at home, you can top-up your treatment as flexibly as you want.
Many of our customers use their device before or after their regular skincare regimen, running the IPL laser over their targeted area before they run out the door or before they go to the bed for the night.
It’s all up to you.
How To Do Your Own IPL At Home Using The SweetPeachier IPL Hair Removal Handset
Have your pristine SweetPeachier IPL Hair Removal Handset in your hands? Or curious how easy it is to use?
Here’s where we break the how-tos down.
Start With A Shave
Don’t do away with your razor just yet. In fact, it’s actually a stellar sidekick when it comes to getting the best results out of your IPL treatment.
Shaving the hair protects your body from potential irritation. This is because the longer the hair the more opportunity to flare up when the IPL device flashes
The short follicle will also mean it’ll absorb the light more effectively so the closer the shave the better the results. Also, be sure to check that your skin is completely dry and free from gels or moisturizer.
And finally, make sure you read through all the enclosed safety precautions prior to using the handset.
Now you’re ready to get started.
Get Comfortable Holding The Handset
Your SweetPeachier IPL Hair Removal Handset has been contour designed in order to fit snugly into the palm of either hand.
You might want to adjust your grip and swap hands depending on whether you’d like to target your legs, arms, or bikini line. In which case it’s simply a matter of personal choice, the only requirement is that the light window must be on direct contact with the skin in order to flash.
Activating Your Handset
Find a comfortable position near an electrical outlet and plug your device in. The green light indicates that it is ready to turn on.
Click on the light to select a level that suits your tolerance level. If it’s your first time using an IPL treatment, we suggest starting on the lowest setting and increasing the intensity once per week.
Don’t worry, the treatment isn’t painful, although the flash heat from the IPL does deliver a tingle that some might like to get used to.
If you’ve used IPL before and feel confident using the highest setting then we recommend doing so.
Just remember to always stick to a level that feels comfortable for you.
Using Your Handset
All you need to do is place the light window flat against your skin (over the area you want to treat). The pink light will blink indicating that the IPL device is ready for you. Then place the light window flat against your skin (over the area you want to treat).
Once you’re in position, tap the ‘pulse’ button. You’ll notice a slight flash, indicating that the area has been treated.
From there you simply lift the handset and apply it further down on the areas you want to treat, however try not to go over the same area twice in a single session to avoid irritation.
Some stronger hair follicles can be stubborn, in which case, we recommend showing them who’s boss and using a higher intensity level or using your handset twice per week over these areas.
Turning Off & Cleaning Your Handset
Finished your treatment area? Tap and hold the green light to turn the device off and store it securely in a cool dry area away.
You may want to wipe your handset clean, in which case, use a dry cloth and 70% alcohol (not acetone or abrasive fluids).
How Often You Should Use Your IPL Hair Removal Handset
This is entirely up to you, however we recommend using your handset once a week for the first 12 weeks. If you’re eager for faster results the device is safe to use twice per week.
The great news is following that period you should only need to use the handset once a month for 3 months or until you feel satisfied with the result.
Touch ups can also be done whenever you notice any regrowth.
‘Why do I need to do at-home IPL more than a salon IPL?’ we hear you ask.
This is because the IPL wavelength used in salons is of a slightly higher frequency than what is used safely in at-home handsets.
A fun fact is the full treatment time for at-home IPL is actually shorter than most salon schedules, because clinical treatments usually require 6-10 week intervals between visits, and approximately 6-8 treatments for a single area (that can work out to be over 10 months in many cases!).
Just another reason why an at-home SweetPeachier IPL Laser Hair Removal Handset is the ideal option for long term hair removal.
How smooth you’d like your skin to be is entirely up to you and your treatment preferences.
In fact, if you need a little more convincing about IPL vs other hair removal methods check out our blog on the benefits of IPL versus the routine of regular shaving, we’ve broken down the pros and cons.
TIP: And don’t forget to take pictures of the treatment prior to shaving. Being able to look back and see where you started is a super satisfying way to help you track your results as the weeks progress.
How To Use The 3 Different Modes On Your Device
Did you know that hair grows differently on each area of your body? You can thank your hormones for that. For instance, thick body hair is made up of androgens, a hormone both men and women share. Men have slightly more androgens, which is why they usually have more. But everybody is different, which is why we created 3 modes to help simplify the process.
Manual Mode
The default setting on your handset and the ideal way to treat precision areas such as under arms, bikini area and face.
With this mode, each click of the ‘pulse’ button causes flash. You then shift the handset location as you move around the treatment area.
Glide Mode
Longer areas such as the arms and the torso require a more sustained action and so we invented ‘Glide Mode’. Simply hold down the ‘pulse’ button and glide the machine slowly over the treatment area. The handset will do the rest, flashing every half second.
This is ideal for when you’re on the run but want to incorporate your hair removal process into your regular beauty routine.
Auto Mode
Perfect for when you feel confident that you have your IPL routine down-pat or when you want to quickly treat areas such as your legs and arms.
Hold down the ‘pulse’ button away from your skin. You’ll soon notice all the indicator lights start to flash, meaning the device is in auto mode and will flash every half second that it is in contact with your skin. Remember to lift the handset after each flash to cool the bulb.
Then hold down the ‘pulse’ button again to disable auto mode.
IPL Tips & Tricks
- IPL is only effective when the hair follicle is in place and hasn’t been removed by waxing or epilation, so avoid undergoing these procedures prior to any IPL treatment.
- Using a strong SPF sunscreen is always a good idea but we definitely recommend it as a precaution if you’re going into the sun after an IPL treatment.
- Planning on using your device on a small area (such as your bikini line)? We recommend using ‘Manual Mode’ and ‘Glide Mode’ for longer areas (such as legs).
- Remember to lift the head of the device after each ‘pulse’ to avoid overheating.
- If your skin often experiences redness and irritation after shaving, we recommend shaving the night before your IPL treatment.
- Moisturize afterwards to maintain your skin’s hydration.
- And be sure to track and share your progress on social media, tagging @sweetpeachier on Instagram.
Safety Advice
At SweetPeachier we ensure the safety of every one of our IPL hair remover handsets, however there are few key tips to keep your handset in top condition and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for you.

- Avoid using if pregnant.
- Avoid using if under 16.
- Avoid using over tattoos.
- Avoid using on broken or burnt skin.
